Under the Willow Tree Counseling

When we are no longer able to change a situation, we are challenged to change ourselves. -Viktor Frankl-

Are you struggling with issues related to trauma, anxiety, depression or major life changes? Are you tired of your emotions driving your behavior? Asking for help when life seems unbearable can be hard, but necessary.  I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate in Bellingham, WA and I’d like to help you on your inner journey towards acceptance and resiliency.

I assist adults and adolescents 12 and up, specializing in treating issues related to anxiety, trauma, depression and adjustment disorders. My goal is to help you learn to cope with difficult emotions that are interfering with living the life that you direct and value. I can help you learn to embrace, accept and love who you are now, not an idealized past or possible future version of yourself.

"Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom."

 What to Expect in Therapy

Helping you take control of your life

Therapy is an effective means for addressing emotional pain that drives inflexibility in addressing everyday life's issues. I primary use evidence based treatment to address pathology and build desired responses to internal stimulus and external triggers. Growth is hard, and often painful and this is to be expected in therapy. My role as a therapist is to help you facilitate change. Essentially, I see myself as a mirror helping discover a more accurate reflection of yourself, free from distorted beliefs and misplaced meaning.  Your path is unique, and it is important to remember that change and healing take time.
